Join us Basic/Gentle Yoga. Reduce stress, increase flexibility, gently strengthen & experience meditation. No yoga experience necessary! Our Basic/Gentle Yoga Classes offer detailed instruction that safely leads you through every pose, and introduces meditation and breath techniques. Basic classes move at a steady pace, with time to integrate each learning experience. Great for new to yoga to experienced practitioners. This is a practice that is sustainable for life.

Please bring $15 cash or check to class. I have some change, please do not bring large bills. We no longer take credit card payments through mind/body. You may still use our mind/body system to see our schedule.

Our signature style

Basic Gentle yoga offers a rejuvenating peaceful yoga class with foundational postures, led at a steady pace, a gentle to moderate intensity. Detailed instruction walks you through every pose. Great for brand-new to yoga and experienced practitioners!

Seasoned yogis and new students can benefit from gentle yoga! Stretch away tensions, bring movement into stiff joints, and calm the mind. This class is ideal for anyone looking to de-stress, develop range of motion and flexibility without over-exertion, gently build strength, and receive the healing benefits of yoga.

Every Yoga by the Sea class incorporates mindfulness, meditation, yoga postures and more to promote the union of body, mind and spirit – ultimately to cultivate joy, health and peace of mind. Sea Flow Style ~ Basic Yoga Flow ~ Vinyasa Hour

Some experience suggested, but not required. Yoga flow sequences require students to go up and down from the floor at a steady pace.

Classes with flowing postures are most notably referred to as 'Vinyasa Flow' a term coined by Shiva Rae and adopted world-wide.

Our yoga flow classes are engaging energizing classes with flowing yoga postures, coordinating mindful movement and conscious breathing.

Meditation & Relaxation

Meditation & Relaxation is included in every Yoga by the Sea class. Meditation helps access deeper levels of conscious and unconscious awareness, including connection to the higher self. It has long been implemented as a path to the Divine nature, the true self. The health benefits of meditation are many, including stress reduction of the nervous system, muscles and mind. Meditation helps one explore deep peace and tranquility, and opens the door to possibilities. Text by Casey Gash.


Deep Relaxation: Restorative Yoga & Guided Meditation with Casey Gash, RYT

No yoga experience is necessary ~

Experience deep relaxation and bliss on every level of being. You will be guided into deeper and deeper relaxation with soothing guided meditations, while in restful gentle yoga poses.

Restorative yoga is esigned to provide specific healing benefits, postures are sequenced for a 'prescription' to relieve tensions, create alignment, and restore energy. A slow pace, props, and hands-on assists provide deep stretches, and are combined with guided breath techniques and relaxation.

Students are empowered to develop self-knowledge through self-inquiry, and are guided through ancient yogic practices, yoga philosophy, the chakras, energy healing and transformation. Every Yoga by the Sea class incorporates mindfulness, meditation, yoga postures and more to promote the union of body, mind and spirit – ultimately to cultivate joy, health and peace of mind! 1 on 1 Sea Foundations — Learning From the Ground Up

For those who want even more personalized attention one on one, we recommend Sea Foundations. By working one on one, we can work with your specific needs. This supportive environment teaches the basic poses and foundational skills for a safe and effective yoga experience.
